DeLand Citizens Academy

DELAND CITIZENS ACADEMY

The DeLand Citizens Academy is a five session program designed to inform residents and community stakeholders about the operations of city government and what is involved in delivering and maintaining services for the residents of the city.

Class size will be limited to 20 people. The program is open to everyone in the DeLand area, though preference will be given to residents within the city limits.

By the end of the program, participants will have a greater understanding of the organizational structure of the city and operations of various departments that help make DeLand a better place in which to live, work and play.

Participants will be required to submit an application before being accepted into the program.

Session Frequency: Weekly
Time: Refreshments and networking: 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. | Class: 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Program Length: Five sessions
Location: City facilities, with primary meeting location at City Hall
Audience: Adult residents and community stakeholders
Cost: No cost to participants
