Chisholm Community Center

History of the Chisholm Center

The Chisholm Community Center, named in honor of Joe Chisholm, a pioneer in minority youth and young adult activities, was constructed and dedicated in 1982Chisholm Community Center Building and Shaded Benches. The gymnasium was designated as the Willie Hill Gymnasium, in honor of along time Parks and Recreation Department employee and the Center's first full-time Director. The pool was designated as the Mary Fall in-Morris Pool, in honor of her 34 years as the Pool Supervisor.

Amenities

The Center consists of a banquet hall, kitchen, meeting room, two media centers (Learning zone), game room, gymnasium and exercise room. Amenities include a community pool, basketball court, pavilion, tennis court, and a community garden.
